Boo to You! Why Mickey’s Halloween Party Is a Must-Do in 2025

If you’re heading to Walt Disney World this autumn, Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is an absolute must in my book. We had the chance to experience it ourselves, and even though our evening didn’t go quite to plan (more on that later!), it was still full of magical memories I’ll never forget. Here’s everything I’d recommend knowing before you go…

Party Dates & Ticket Info

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party takes place on select nights between 15th August and 31st October 2025.

Tickets are now on sale for Disney Resort hotel guests, with general sale opening on 22nd May 2025. If you’re planning to go during October half term or close to Halloween, I’d definitely recommend booking early, those dates can sell out fast!

What’s Included?

Once you’re through the gates, here’s a peek at what you can expect (and yes, it’s all included in your party ticket!):

  • Trick or Treating around the park – we filled our bags with so many sweets!
  • Exclusive character meet & greets – we queued two hours to meet Jack and Sally, and honestly? It was 100% worth it. There are other party exclusive characters to meet too, just be warned the queues can get very long!
  • Mickey’s Boo to You Parade – I loved this! It’s got villains, grave diggers, and my daughter even got picked to dance with Powerline Max! And, if you’re really lucky, you might just see the Headless Horseman!
  • Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular Fireworks – Hosted by Jack Skellington, fireworks and lasers light up the night sky!
  • Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular on the Castle stage – a must if you’re a fan of the Sanderson Sisters.
  • Shorter queue times for popular rides – great if you want to squeeze in a few thrill rides between candy stops.
  • Spooky ride overlays – a few attractions get special Halloween makeovers just for the party! Mad Tea Party glows with eerie lighting and music, Space Mountain blasts through complete darkness, and Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor turns into a Halloween-themed comedy show.

When Can You Enter?

Although the party officially starts at 7pm, ticket holders can enter Magic Kingdom as early as 4pm. Time to ride a few rides before the party begins!

Costumes & Festive Fun

One of my favourite parts was seeing everyone in costume. Adults and kids are encouraged to dress up (within Disney’s costume guidelines), and it really adds to the festive atmosphere.

Party exclusive food and drinks – fun, themed and delicious snacks to try such as Madame Leota Séance Candle (Red velvet cake and cookies and cream mousse) and Mickey-shaped Cheesecake (Pumpkin cheesecake with graham cracker crust and white chocolate-whipped ganache)

We also picked up some event exclusive merchandise!

Final Thoughts

Even though we had to cut our night short due to illness, I’d still say it was a highlight of our trip. From trick-or-treating down Main Street to watching the castle light up with spooky magic, there’s something so special about Halloween at Disney.

Enjoying Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party 2024

If you’re visiting Walt Disney between August and October, I’d 100% recommend adding Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party to your plans. And as for us? We’ll be back to do it properly next time!
